Terms of use

Terms of use for forex-brokers.co.uk explain what you can expect from our pages and where our responsibility ends. You'll find factual records on UK trading firms, fee tables, calculators and tax rules here. We don't give you personal advice. By using this site, you agree to check every figure yourself before you put your money at risk.

Just information, with no financial promotion

The FCA, which is the Financial Conduct Authority, the UK regulator, hasn't authorised us, so our pages contain no broker rankings or account invitations. For our own authorisation, we've applied to the FCA. Our pages show unranked facts only, until you see that permission granted.

We define any message that persuades you to open an account or buy an investment as a financial promotion. By UK law, publishing a financial promotion by an unauthorised business requires approval from an authorised firm. That's why this site has no scores, verdicts, pros and cons, or buttons for opening an account. How we keep our tables neutral is explained in our editorial policy and disclosure page.

Financial, investment and tax advice for your personal situation isn't provided anywhere on this website. Our tax pages contain manual quotations from HM Revenue and Customs. Each quotation includes a reference code and date. What you pay in tax depends on your own personal circumstances. If you need personal guidance, you should speak to either a qualified accountant or a regulated adviser.

Broker figures and FCA register checks

Every fee and loss rate shown here comes from either the FCA register or the broker's UK website. Each figure includes the date when we read it, so you can judge how current it is. A broker can alter spreads, fees or terms you pay without telling us at any time.

CFDs are the name traders give to contracts for difference. You can bet on price movements through them without owning the asset. Every 3 months, each broker recalculates its retail CFD loss percentage using the previous 12 months. At 3-month intervals, we check each firm's UK site to update that number for you. Different legal entities can have different loss figures, and even separate pages within 1 broker's site may show different amounts.

Accuracy after the displayed date isn't guaranteed for any figure you read. Before acting on anything here, check the register details for FCA regulated forex brokers and the broker's own website.

Copyright, corrections and warnings

Our 1 hosted form accepts correction and removal requests, and all of them go to 1 inbox. Our goal is a turnaround of 48 hours. A broker correction is applied by us with a dated note showing its source. All FCA warnings and clone firm flags will be reflected here within 1 day. Called a clone firm, this scam copies a real authorised broker's name and registration details.

Our tables and explanations may be used for your own personal research, though we retain the copyright. Broker logos are displayed through Brandfetch, and we take our own screenshots. If you own a logo's rights and request its removal, we'll take it down.
