How this site makes money
How this site makes money is simple right now, because forex-brokers.co.uk earns 0 pounds from brokers. You won't find ads, paid placements or hidden deals anywhere on our pages. We built the site so you can compare plain broker facts without sales pressure.
Do brokers pay to be listed on this site?
No broker pays for inclusion here or for changes to what you read. No pages have affiliate links today. Affiliate links are tracking links that pay a website a commission for every account you open.
When you look at our FCA regulated forex brokers, the only things shown are dated fee tables and public register facts. Clicking a broker's name or logo takes you directly to the firm's website. Your visit isn't tracked for any payout. We leave out star ratings, scores and any buttons that push you to trade.
Before taking commissions, we wait for FCA authorisation
A scored broker review with account buttons counts as a financial promotion in the UK. Any message that invites you to trade or persuades you to trade is a financial promotion. Section 21 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 makes unauthorised promotion of investments a criminal offence.
Known as the FCA, the Financial Conduct Authority must authorise a firm before it can publish or approve those promotions. As the UK regulator, the FCA polices financial firms and protects you. Before accepting any money from brokers, we decided on 31 October 2026 to apply for our own FCA authorisation.
The FCA needs up to 6 months for a complete application, and up to 12 months if the application is incomplete. The site will remain purely factual until the regulator grants our permission. While we wait, there'll be no rankings, verdicts or commercial buttons. Should the FCA refuse our application, our fallback will be for an authorised approver firm to sign off any promotional page.
How would adding affiliate links change things?
If we later receive FCA authorisation and add affiliate links, clear labels will appear before you click. UK advertising rules require that content with commercial links be obviously identifiable to you as advertising. Each commercial button will carry an affiliate link label, and we'll add a notice to the page.
As you scroll, a fixed warning bar will also appear on every page with a broker link. That bar carries the mandatory risk warning plus the percentage of retail accounts that lose money, and that percentage is updated every 3 months.
Account bonuses, fee rebates and retail crypto derivatives won't be promoted even after authorisation. Those incentives are banned for retail traders under FCA rules. Before any commercial link goes live, we'll update this page. Our editorial policy also explains how we check facts.
Company information and correcting errors
The editorial team publishes forex-brokers.co.uk. Our about page tells you who we are.
We don't gather information about your finances or display ads that follow you around the web. The tools we use are limited to standard analytics and a click log, which our privacy notice and terms of use describe.
Our about page gives you a way to report errors found on any page. We review your message, then make verified corrections and add a dated note. If the FCA issues a warning or clone alert, we promptly update our pages for you.
